Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 September 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Watchive. By creating an account or using Watchive, you agree to comply with these Terms and applicable Community rules. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Operator

Watchive is operated by Jack Davies in the United Kingdom. Contact: watchivesupport@gmail.com.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for information submitted through your account, keeping credentials secure and activity carried out through your account. You must not impersonate another person or deliberately provide misleading identity information. You must meet the minimum age and eligibility requirements shown in the applicable app-store/account experience.

4. Entertainment tracking and discovery

Watchive is a TV/movie tracking, discovery and Community service. Entertainment metadata, release dates, streaming/provider information, cast details and artwork can be supplied by third parties and may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. Do not rely on Watchive as the sole source for time-critical availability information.

5. Third-party services and TMDB

Watchive uses third-party APIs, app stores, authentication/cloud providers, advertising services and external links. Those services have their own terms and policies. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Nothing in Watchive implies affiliation with a streaming service, studio, broadcaster, rights holder or other third party unless expressly stated.

6. User content and licence

You retain ownership of content you create. By posting or uploading content to Watchive, you grant Watchive a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, secure and provide the features through which you submitted it. This licence ends when the content is deleted except to the extent limited retention is lawfully necessary.

7. Community conduct

You must not post unlawful content, threats, harassment, hateful or abusive material, spam, malicious content, material that infringes another person's copyright/privacy/other rights, or content that breaches Watchive Community rules. You must have the necessary rights to material you upload.

8. Moderation

Watchive may investigate reports and hide, remove, restrict or moderate content/accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or protect the service. Watchive is not obliged to monitor every item of user content.

9. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to disrupt Watchive, bypass security/access controls, scrape or harvest data without authorisation, introduce malware, abuse APIs, manipulate advertising or rewards, exploit bugs, automate harmful interactions, interfere with other users or use Watchive for unlawful purposes.

10. Intellectual property

Watchive software, branding and original interface/content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Third-party titles, trademarks, posters, backdrops, cast images, metadata and other materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used subject to applicable permissions/licences/terms.

11. Premium, advertising and purchases

Watchive may offer Premium through recurring subscriptions and/or eligible one-time purchases. Prices and billing periods are displayed by the app store before purchase and may vary by storefront/currency. Free accounts may display advertising; Premium is designed to suppress Watchive advertising and unlock the Premium features shown in the app.

12. Subscription billing, cancellation and refunds

Recurring subscriptions are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and may renew automatically according to the terms shown at purchase unless cancelled through the relevant store account. Deleting your Watchive account does not itself cancel an app-store subscription. Refunds, billing disputes and store transaction handling are governed by the applicable store's rules. Restore Purchases can be used where supported for eligible purchases.

13. Availability and changes

Features may be updated, repaired, changed, suspended or discontinued where reasonably necessary. Watchive does not promise that every feature or third-party service will always be available or error-free. Material changes affecting paid access remain subject to applicable consumer law.

14. Account deletion

You may request deletion through Watchive Settings or the public account-deletion page. Account deletion is intended to remove the account and associated personal data that Watchive is not legally required to retain. See the Privacy Policy for details.

15. Suspension and termination

Access may be restricted or terminated for serious/repeated breaches, fraud, abuse, security threats or unlawful conduct, or where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service. You may stop using Watchive at any time.

16. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Watchive is provided on an as-available basis. No guarantee is made that entertainment metadata, recommendations, statistics, Community content or third-party availability information will always be complete, accurate or current. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. Subject to those protections, the operator is not responsible for losses caused solely by independent third-party services, unauthorised user conduct or circumstances outside reasonable control to the extent permitted by law.

18. Privacy

Personal data handling is described in the Watchive Privacy Policy. Community content you choose to make public may be visible to other users.

19. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when Watchive, legal requirements, paid features or service arrangements change. Material changes will be communicated where required.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and rights that apply where you live.
